Juniper Advisory Comments on Advocate NorthShore Deal on WGN-TV

Juniper Advisory’s Rex Burgdorfer appeared on WGN-TV in a piece covering the recently announced Advocate NorthShore partnership. The two organizations will consolidate to form Advocate NorthShore Health Partners, a $6.8 billion system that will be the largest in the state of Illinois. It is expected to serve 3 million patients a year at over 350 sites of care.

Commenting on the rising trend of hospital consolidation in Chicago and elsewhere around the country, Burgdorfer noted, “In order to provide higher quality care and to reduce the cost of care, systems have to be formed like this.”
