Rex Burgdorfer co-presented “So You’ve Decided to Explore a Partnership: Now What?” for The Governance Institute on Thursday, September 4th from 2:00-3:00pm EST. Rex was joined by Anne Hancock Toomey, Partner at Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock, and Scott Becker, CEO of Conemaugh Health System.

Using Conemaugh as a case study, the panel looked at the decision of a health system to seek a partner, including navigating the range of structures available today and the process for considering potential partners. The objectives of the webinar were to:

• Outline the how-to of building a strategic partnership process;
• Present methods for pursuing a partnership that integrates a carefully considered communications plan; and
• Offer tactics and possible pitfalls to avoid, from the perspective of a health system that has undergone the process
