Juniper Advisory Profiled by Healthcare Dive

Juniper Advisory was featured in the Healthcare Dive article “6 types of hospital M&A structures execs need to know,” which profiled “The Expanding Range of Strategic Alternatives Available in Hospital System Mergers and Acquisitions,” an article co-written by Juniper Advisory and the law firm McDermott Will & Emery. In addition to outlining the expanding range of partnership structures available to health systems today, Juniper investment banker Jordan Shields addressed the trend of financially strong hospitals pursuing change.

“We’re still seeing struggling hospitals pursuing mergers to keep their [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=” border_size=” border_color=” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=” id=” animation_type=” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][doors] open, and their hospitals vibrant,” Shields said. “But we’re seeing an uptick [since just prior to the Affordable Care Act’s enactment in 2010] in activity among strong hospitals going to market because they want to, not because they have to. And that has led to some innovation.”
